An organization that's often over looked when it comes to volunteering may be Big Brothers Big Sisters.

BBBS is an organization where a volunteer is matched with a "little"brother or sister to mentor, hang out and have a good time.

Chelsea is BBBS big sister and says she used to drive past their building weekly. She did some research on the organization and liked what she saw.

"I Googled them once, scrolled around their website, and really liked what I saw, so I applied right then and there."

Chelsea says she's been Eleanore's Big for a year and half. Her favorite part of volunteering with BBBS is the impact she's making with Eleanore.

"I think the thing I love the most about volunteering is how much I've seen her grow. I've been able to really get to know her and I see how she was when we first met, and how much confidence she's gained, how much she's willing to try with me, knowing that she trusts me." Chelsea shares "I love that I know that I can make an impact on her life."

Eleanore, the Little, says her favorite thing to go to Spruce Meadows with her Big Sister Chelsea.

"I think it's great to have a big sister just to do fun stuff with like go out hiking, we go for picnics and stuff like that."

If you would like more information about volunteering with BBBS, Chelsea says jump in and do it.

"The awesome thing with BBBS is that they have so many connections, Eleanore and I have gone to Disney on Ice, we go to the Science Centre, and it doesn't have to be a cost to yourself, you're just hanging out."
