The new snow is compounding driving woes all around the Foothills area with plenty of cars ending up in the ditch overnight and into this morning.

Travis Bradley, Owner of AAA Towing says drivers were called out until 3 AM last night. One driver had a close call as a driver wasn't paying attention to the icy roads.

"I attended a call with one of my drivers, he came to do a recovery." Bradley says "Two more cars got into an accident right behind him and the other ones came into the ditch right beside him. It can get pretty dangerous."

The Tow Operator is okay after his near miss, The RCMP did ticket the driver for not slowing down or moving over for the emergency vehicles.

Bradley says in winter time drivers need to focus on driving to keep themselves and others safe.

"Focus on driving, keep your eyes on the road and if you have to - go a little less than the speed limit and watch for emergency vehicles."

Drivers are continuing to send in reports saying Hwy 7 and Hwy 2 are in bad condition and quite slippery. There are reports that the roads haven't been sanded in some areas yet.
