A local business took an approximate $70,000 hit from thieves last week.

On June 28 around 3 a.m. Cycle Works Foothills, located north of Okotoks on Highway 2A, was targeted by thieves.

JC Seitz, General Manager and part owner of Cycle Works, says the thieves broke into the property by cutting a hole through the fence, taking six dirt bikes and throwing them into a nearby field.

Seitz says the thieves came back a few hours later and made off with the property after loading it into a truck and trailer.

He says Cycle Works managed to get CCTV footage of the thieves, and asks anyone who saw anything suspicious to call them, or RCMP.

Okotoks RCMP are investigating this case.
