Highwood MLA Wayne Anderson says he's 100 per cent behind the UCP's new Leader, Jason Kenney.

That despite backing Brian Jean in the leadership race.

"Brian was my leader and I was obviously loyal to my leader, but the reality is Albertan's and conservatives spoke on Saturday night and I'll endorse what they want. They want to see Jason as our leader."

He says his endorsement of Jean hasn't hurt him with Kenney.

"Jason and I have sat down, we've had great discussions. I think he's obviously a great parliamentarian. He understands the process. Our caucus is definitely 100 per cent united. And I'm really looking forward to working with my caucus and my new caucus mates, but moreover representing Albertan's and moving the conservative message forward."

Anderson says even though Kenney won't be in the legislature with the rest of caucus for the time being, it doesn't present any problems with Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre MLA Jason Nixon taking over as Deputy Leader.
