Highwood MLA Wayne Anderson says he's going to spend a fair bit of time this summer making sure Alberta's Electoral Boundaries Commission doesn't bust up the Highwood Riding.

The Commission's plan is to move High River into the Livingstone-Macleod riding, and the Davisburg/Heritage Pointe area into the Chestermere riding.

Anderson says it doesn't make a lot of sense.

"I think they're playing more of a numbers game than they are an actual economic game. So, I've spoken to the MD (Of Foothills) and I've spoken to other folks, and they all agree that the boundaries commission, although this is a preliminary report, should include the Davisburg, Heritage Pointe Plain area. And continue that with the Highwood Constituency and keep High River in Highwood."

Anderson says he and others from the riding will meet with the commission over the summer in hopes of being able to show them what a bad idea it is to move High River out of the riding.
