The 3rd annual Bike Ride for Heart and Stroke took place on Sunday.

The participants came together in matching shirts, and got on large multi-person bikes and pedaled around Okotoks. They took advantage of a few pit-stops along the way to play some music and enjoy a little Zumba.

It was a very successful event with participants raising over $14,000 for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Tamara Boivin, the event's organizer, says it's rewarding to see so much hard work come together.

"I am honoured to pull these people together and have people like this work so hard fundraising and come together and really celebrate life," she says.

The hope is that next year's ride will be even bigger and better.
