For the second year in a row, Team South, has won the Alberta Cup of Hockey with a 5-1 win over Team Northwest Sunday, April 30, in Canmore.

Okotoks Minor Hockey President Jamie Steer, guided the team to the win for the second year in a row, 31 years after he won it as a player, back in 1986.

He says it's always a lot of fun.

"I love getting kids from all over and having to bring them together in a short term competition. I had a lot of talent this year, I know that. But, like I said, just because you have the talent, you've still got to bring them together and these kids came together really well, and it's a credit to them."

Steer says he had a few kids from Okotoks on the team again this year, which shows how much the program has grown.
