The Jacob Libbus rink of the Oilfields Curling Club is off to a perfect start with two wins in the first round of the U-18 Men's Provincial Curling Playoffs in Leduc yesterday.

The team won its first game 7 to 4 over Cole Adams of Calgary and went on to defeat Jared Scharff 11 to 4.

Meanwhile his rival, who won the tournament last year the Ryan Jacques rink also won their first two games, against Jared Scharff 6 to 5, and Layton Trembly 9 to 3.

The Libbus rink plays Layton Trembly March 5 at noon and takes on Jacques at  6 pm.

The two rival rinks are tied for first place after the first day.
