After 28 years as part of the Okotoks Bisons organization President Mike Parsons may be looking to take a step back.

At the Bisons awards banquet Saturday, April 22, Parsons talked about plans to maybe step down from the top job, but he says it's not any easy choice.

"Three years ago, I said I was leaving, and I couldn't sleep at night. I couldn't. And a week later I said I screwed up! What was I thinking?"

Parsons says he wants to spend more time watching his grandkids play hockey among other things.

He says in the end it's something he's been thinking of for a while, but he doesn't really want to do.

"I love the organization. It's been good to me. It's been my life."

Parsons says he'll take a couple of months to think things through before deciding for sure.
