Calgary Stampeders receiver and Okotoks native Anthony Parker is a free agent for the second time in his pro career.

He says the plan is to re-sign with the Stamps.

"Ideally, you want to stay where you're at. We've got a good organization and obviously the goal would be to come back and take another run at this thing. I think for the most part that's out of my hands, so we'll have to see what they're thinking and go from there."

Parker says his agent has had "preliminary" conversations with the club, adding there's a "mutual interest" there.

He says it, like most things, it's just a matter of making the numbers work.

Parker, who's been with the Stamps since 2011, had his receiving numbers take a hit from last season as posted 36 catches for 482 yards and three touchdown's in 2017.

He also rushed the ball seven times for 81 yards and a TD.

His best year as a pro came in 2016 where he had 51 catches for 654 yards and four TD's.
