The Okotoks Oilers knew it was going to be a hard fought battle against the Bobcats in Llyodminister last night and it turns out they were right, they were defeated 2 to 0.

They only earned two points on the road trip adding two rare loses to their record.

They also lost to the Fort McMurray Oil Barrons 3 to 2 on Thursday, November 30th and came from behind to win 6 to 2 over the Bonnyville Pontiacs Friday night before tackling the Bobcats in Lloydminister.

Captain Carter Hurber says the road trip didn't go the way they wanted but they will build on it from here.

"We had a couple of factors against us coming into this one, we knew that going in" said Huber. "We don't want to make any excuses. I thought it was a hard fought game, maybe not our best effort. We battled hard we thought till the end. If things didn't go our way tonight we are just going to have to move forward."

Having a goal called back in the third period for a crease violation also didn't help.

"I"ve also never seen that before. I just did my best to overcome it and make something happen, unfortunately that is the way things go sometimes."

Next up they are in Canmore Tuesday night to take on the Eagles game time is 7 o'clock.
