The Okotoks Oilers head into the second half of the AJHL season as the top team in the league.

But holding onto it, particularly when they have a pile of divisional games coming up, is a different story according to Head Coach Tyler Deis.

"It doesn't get easier, it gets a lot harder here. We mention that to our guys. The first half is a feeling out process. You know teams are going to come out for those two points every night, and they're going to come out hard. So, we've got make sure that we're ready here and it's definitely going to be a bit different going into the second half."

Deis says even though they've beaten the Brooks Bandits five game straight this season, he still looks at them as their biggest challenge if they want to come out of the South Division this year.
