The Okotoks Oilers have another NCAA commitment from the 2016-17 roster.

Forward Tanner Laderoute will attend the University of Alaska Anchorage for the 2017-18 season.

In 166 AJHL regular season games, the Edmonton native notched 40 goals and 70 assists in an Oiler uniform while also playing a season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders prior to his arrival in the Foothills.

Laderoute was a trade acquisition last season and has won the team's Hardest Working Oiler the past two seasons.

The 19 year old leads the Oilers in playoff scoring after scoring three goals and two assists in a round one sweep of the Camrose Kodiaks.

Laderoute is the third Oiler NCAA recruit this year as defenceman Jacob Bernard-Docker is off to the University of North Dakota in two years while he'll join Jordan Xavier on the Seawolves roster.

The Oilers are in action in the South Division Semi Finals this weekend with their opponent yet to be determined in the Drumheller Dragons & Calgary Canucks series.
