The Okotoks Oilers were just over three minutes from taking a two games to none lead in their AJHL South Division final series.
But the Brooks Bandits had other ideas.
With the Oilers up 2-0 with 3:07 to go, they gave up two power play goals and then the winner with just 44 seconds left, giving the Bandits the 3-2 win.
Tanner Laderoute and Austin Wong were the Oilers scorers.
The best of seven series is now tied at a game each, with games three and four Monday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 3, in Brooks, before heading back to Okotoks for game five Friday, April 6.
