It was close, but the Okotoks Oilers have taken a three games to none lead in their playoff series against the Kodiaks, with a 2-1 win Monday, march 19, in Camrose.

The Kodiaks jumped out to the early 1-0 lead, but power play goals from Nick Blankenburg and Dylan Holloway were the difference for the Oilers.

Forward Carter Huber says the Oilers had to battle in this one.

"They were playing desperate hockey, so we have to do the same. We know tomorrow (Tuesday) obviously their lives are on the line. But we're a confident group here, so we're just going to come in and do what we do."

The Oilers can sweep the series Tuesday, March 20, in game four in Camrose.
