The Okotoks Oilers red hot streak continues with their third straight win last night.

They dumped the Canmore Eagles 6 - 3 in the first of back-to-back games.

Oilers forward Tanner Laderoute says while the game went well, he would have liked to see the Eagles scoreless.

"I think it comes down to playing for that zero, I mean every team in the league is pretty good. We just have to focus on keeping their score at zero and we're going to win a lot of games if we do that."

The Oilers have yet to lose with 3-0 record, however Laderoute shares there's always room for improvement.

"Honestly just communication, we just need to talk to each other more. The biggest thing for us is we can't get too high, we're 3-0 to start the season everyone's happy but we have to find that perfect spot where we're not too high, and don't get too low in losses."

Rookie forward Quinn Olson lead the way for the Oilers with two goals and an assist, he was also the home team star of the night.

Laderoute says it always gets the team pumped up when the rookies put on a good show.

"It's awesome, when those guys score it gets the bench going, the raw emotion they have when they're so young, it's awesome to watch."

The two squads meet again tonight at Pason Centennial Arena, puck drop is at 7:15.
