The Okotoks Oilers head into the Christmas break on a winning note thanks to a 3-1 win over the Camrose Kodiaks Tuesday, December 19, in Okotoks.

Fresh back from his gold medal win at the World Junior "A" Hockey Challenge, Jacob Bernard-Docker popped the opening goal of the game.

He says Camrose is a tougher team than their record would show.

"That's a team that's definitely underrated and their record definitely doesn's show how good they really are. A really hard working team, they cycle the puck well and you know they're really smart. Definitely a tough battle tonight."

The Oilers take some time off for Christmas, before getting back to work Friday, December 29, when the Drumheller Dragons come to town.
