The Okotoks Oilers play at home tonight (Sat. Feb. 3) after dominating northern rivals in a four-game road trip.

The Oilers breezed through the matches, defeating the Canmore Eagles, Grand Prairie Storm, Whitecourt Wolverines and Sherwood Park Crusaders by scoring a total 23 goals during the stretch.

The Oilers are in first place in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with 82 points - three points ahead of the northern division leaders, the Spruce Grove Saints - and currently hold a season record of 40-6-2.

They have three players with over 50 points on the season and another 12 with over 20 or more.

Tonight, they take on the Crusaders for the second time this year.  It was only last weekend that the Oilers defeated them on the road by a score of 8 to 5.

Tonight's game is the start of a three-game home stand for the local favourites that include bouts against the Wolverines tomorrow and the Storm next weekend.

Puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at the Pason Centennial Centre.
