They fought the wind and the cold, but in the end the Willow Creek Cobras earned another shot at the Tier IV Alberta Bowl this coming weekend.

Despite a howling wind, the Cobras came out with a 21-9 win over the W.R. Meyers Rebels Saturday, November 18, in Claresholm.

Coach Tim Bryson says they got a career day from their starting QB.

"Robby Hoffman threw for 243 yards and three touchdowns. He had a heck of a game in very trying conditions. So it was a really, really good win."

The Cobras face the Cold Lake Royals for the title Saturday, November 25, at 2:30 p.m. in Lacombe.

The Foothills Falcons go for their third straight Provincial Tier II title Saturday as well as they take on the Lloydminster Barons at 11 a.m. at MEGlobal Athletic Park.
