No easy games for the Highwood Mustangs senior girls volleyball team this weekend as they host their annual tournament at Highwood High.
The senior girls take on the Oilfields Drillers at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, and then Bearspaw at 6:15 p.m. to open the tournament.
Coach Michelle Alberts says winning those games is a great way to get into Saturday's finals.
"Round robin games, I always say to the girls, are just as important as playoff games, so we'll start it off on Friday and hopefully have a great start to the weekend."
The Mustangs JV girls open up against Vulcan at 2:30 p.m. on court two, and then face Livingstone at 6:15 p.m.
The senior Mustangs wrap up the round robin Saturday morning at 10:15 a.m. versus Calgary's Foundation of the Future club team, while the JV girls face Strathmore at 10:15 a.m. as well.
The tournament runs through to the finals Saturday, September 23, at 3:30 with the gold medal game.
