A couple of local teams head to Calgary for the U-18 Men's Curling Districts starting Friday, January 26.

Okotoks Garrett Johnston and the defending champion Jacob Libbus team out of the Turner Valley Curling Club.

Libbus says after finishing second in 2016, and winning it all last year, there won't be a lot of surprises for them out there this year.

"I think we know what's coming for us. I think we know how to prepare well. Since we've been there the last two years we're going to be able to understand what to expect and mentally be ready to go."

The event runs Friday through to Sunday, January 28 at the Garrison Curling Club.
