It was a clean sweep for the High River Flyers who headed to Three Hills on November 3 for a 7 p.m. game.

The Flyers had no trouble in their pairing with the Thrashers, beating them 8-0.

The Thrashers manage to throw 27 shots at the Flyers netminder Chantz Vinck, while the team countered back with 53 shots of their own.

Last nights victory was well needed, as the Flyers shake off their recent losing streak and will be heading out to Blackfalds on November 4 for their next showing.

They play the Wranglers at 3:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, it was a rough night for the Lomond Lakers who drop their home ice game 6-1 to the Stettler Lightning.

The Lakers can't afford to rest, as they'll have another challenging pairing when they hit the road on November 4 out to Cochrane, to take on the Generals again.

On October 27 the Lakers lost their last matchup against the Generals 8-0 on their home ice, so they'll be looking to even up the score in their rematch.

The Okotoks Bisons had the previous two days off, but hit the ice in the Kinplex Arena away in Medicine Hat on November 4.

The Bisons have won their last three games, and the Medicine Hat Cubs dropped their most recent game to the Red Deer Vipers on November 2.

The Bisons and Cubs go head to head at 2:15 p.m.
