The High River Flyers kick off the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League weekend Friday, October 27, at home to the Airdrie Thunder.

Flyers forward Davis Sheldon says they're looking to avenge a 6-3 loss to the Thunder in Airdrie earlier this month.

"We know it's going to be a tough game for sure, since we've already been to Airdrie and played them. They're a really good team and they have some really good players who are up there leading the league with points. I'm excited to see what the guys bring and get that win away from them."

They hit the ice at 8 at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

It's also "Pink the Rink" night for the Flyers as they'll be wearing special "pink" jersey's for the game, and then auctioning them off afterwards to raise money to help fight breast cancer.

And the Okotoks Bisons are in Didsbury to take on the Mountainview Colts Friday.

They head to Medicine Hat Sunday, October 29, for a date with the Cubs.
