A win and loss against Medicine Hat and a loss to Okotoks was the way the High River Flyers weekend played out.

But nobody's disappointed with the two losses.

Coach Tyson Avery says the Flyers did particularly well against the Okotoks Bisons Sunday, October 22, despite losing 5-2.

"We had a short bench due to injuries. But I think we fared very well against them. You know the guys gave them a good run for their money. And they came and played very hard. They were consistent every shift. And we're not mad at that situation at all."

No off week for the Flyers though, as they take on the Heritage League's top two teams from the North Division in the Airdrie Thunder who make their way to the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex Friday, October 27, and then the Flyers head up the QE II to Red Deer to face the Vipers Saturday, October 28.
