The Okotoks Oilers are in deep trouble.

They fell 3-1 to the Spruce Grove Saints Monday, April 16, up north, and now trail three games to none in the best of seven AJHL final series.

The Saints scored all their goals in the first period, starting with Logan Ganie's on the power play just 2:15 in.

They added two more at 10:52 and 18:59 to make it 3-0 after the first period.

Regan Doig got the Oilers lone marker at the 6:28 mark of the second period.

The Oilers out shot the Saints 20-17 on the night, with 11 of those shots coming in the third period.

The Oilers will need to win out to take the title, and that needs to start Tuesday, April 17, in game four in Spruce Grove.
