The Okotoks Dawgs are now down two games on their road trip.

The team lost 12 to 5 to the Fort McMurray Giants in front of their crowd at Shell Place.

Scoring in bunches, combined with strong defence, Fort McMurray found themselves with a 12-0 cushion while the effective hometown product, Tyler Hodder, wouldn't let the Dawgs climb out of their deep hole.

It took seven innings for the Dawgs to finally get on the score board.

Assistant coach Dave Robb said he saw a little bit more tentativeness offensively when they got down.

They now have a 4 and 2 record.

They take on the Giants again Saturday, June 10 at 7:05 p.m. and on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. before returning home.
