The Okotoks Dawgs were masters of the long ball Wednesday, July 12, in Brooks as they went yard seven times in a 14-8 win over the hometown Bombers.

Matt Lloyd and Kody Funderburk each had a pair of home runs in the win.

Lloyd leads the Western Major Baseball League in batting with a .420 average, while Funderburk is the league's home run leader with 11 on the season.

The Dawgs look to win their sixth straight Thursday, July 13 in Medicine Hat when they play the first of three straight against the second place Mavericks.

The Mavericks trail the Dawgs by three and a half games in the WMBL's West Division, with a sweep from the Dawgs all but wrapping up the title for them.
