The Willow Creek Cobras are getting ready for the high school football season with plenty of practices between now and their opener next month.

Coach Tim Bryson says even though they're still in camp they have some definite goals in mind for the season.

"We want to put ourselves in a position to host the zone final in early November and get the bye week. Last year, we had to go through Taber, which worked out well in that respect, but always like to get that bye week and then go from there."

The Cobras host the Medicine Hat Mohawks in their season opener, Friday, September 8.
