The High River Flyers are already on the hunt for a new Head Coach.

Tyson Avery is leaving for an assistant coaching job with the AJHL's Calgary Canucks.

Flyers President Mike Bliss says that's the way it goes in junior hockey.

"We try to push players through into higher levels and things like that, so it shouldn't be different with our coaches, although, yes, it does hurt a little bit. We're just trying to get through some growing pains and losing a top notch coach is definitely hard."

Bliss says they're busy collecting resume's.

"There are good people out there, and until we meet with everybody and you know, make a decision, we're not 100 per cent sure what the final answer is. We'll get there. We've gone through this a couple of times and we know what we're doing and we'll just make sure we get the right guy."

Bliss says with spring camps coming up they need to get a new coach in place ASAP.
