Big Valley's Zeke Thurston was the lone Albertan to walk away with a cheque for $100,000 at the end of the Stampede Rodeo Sunday, July 16.

He rode to a 90 on "Timely Delivery" in saddle bronc in the championship finals.

Other locals wrapped up their Stampede Saturday, July 15, with Nanton tie down roper Logan Bird and fellow Nanton cowboy in Saddle Bronc rider, Clay Elliot failing to move on.

DeWinton bull rider Brock Radford was bucked off in round one of the semi's on Saturday as well.
