A group of students from Red Deer Lake School are heading to the Calgary Airport Saturday afternoon.

Teacher Elizabeth Critchley says they are going to be welcoming some special guests from Kenya.

Over the last two years, the school raised 21-thousand dollars through it's 'Building Hope' program, which helped build a two-room school in Nairobi.

Critchley says they're looking to continue to raise money so they can also build a primary school and put in a water well for the community.

She says the school's staff are all really proud of the students and their commitment to this project. is Okotoks' only source for community news and information such as weather and classifieds.
