The Okotoks RCMP conducted three Checkstops on Saturday Dec. 3rd with great results.

The Checkstops were set up at Riverside Road, Milligan Dr. and Northridge Road and over 200 vehicles were checked.

It resulted in only one graduated licence suspension and one 72-hour roadside suspension handed out.

It was in conjunction with National Impaired Driving Enforcement Day.

Last week the Okotoks RCMP also responded to a total of 77 calls including five crimes against persons; eight property/theft crimes; 13 motor vehicle collisions; one mental health act; one missing person; three domestic violence calls and five animal related calls.

There were also 22 calls relating to lost and found items, 9-1-1 hang-ups, alarms, driving complaints and abandoned vehicles.
