The Okotoks Oilers slow start in front of a packed house led to a 5-2 loss last night at Centennial arena.

The Oilers couldn't slow the fast start the Brooks Bandits brought to game three in the best of seven AJHL south division semi-final series.

While the Oilers managed to split the games in Brooks over the weekend their slow start in front of a 1,500 plus crowd wasn't enough for a comeback.

Zeth Kindrachuk was fed a breakaway pass after jumping out of the penalty box for the Oilers first goal of the game with just under five minutes left in the second period.  Brett Huxley managed to find the back of the net on a rebound with 8:45 left in the game but the Oilers wouldn't score again.

The team will regroup for game four tonight, once again at the Centennial arena for a 7 o'clock puck drop.  Tickets are still available.

You can listen to all the action with the pre-game show kicking off the broadcast on the Eagle 100.9 at 6:45 p.m. and it's also streamed on Okotoks Online.
