The Edmonton Oilers are out of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

And former Brooks Bandit Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche helped to make it happen.

Native Calgarian Cale Makar scored a goal and notched four assists in last night's dramatic 6-5 overtime victory.

And another former AJHL player, former Okotoks Oiler Dylan Holloway made his NHL debut for the Edmonton Oilers.

Holloway had three minutes and twenty-seven seconds of ice time in the loss, was +1 and recorded one hit.

The Avs swept the Oilers in four straight games and now move on to play for the Stanley Cup.

They'll face either the NY Rangers or the Tampa Bay Lightning.

They face off at 6:00 p.m. in game four of the Eastern Conference finals with the Rangers leading the best of seven series 2-1.
