Premier Jason Kenney made a stop in Toronto on Wednesday to tout the "Alberta Advantage."

It marked the launch of Phase 2 of the Alberta is Calling campaign, an effort to attract workers from other provinces.

He was joined by Highwood MLA RJ Sigurdson and Banff-Kananaskis MLA Miranda Rosin.

The premier painted a picture of financial freedom in Wild Rose Country.

"Alberta has the fastest growing economy in Canada, we are leading the country in employment growth, we have the highest household incomes, the highest individual incomes, the highest disposable incomes, the lowest personal in come taxes, the lowest business taxes, we're the only province with no sales tax, no land transfer tax, no payroll tax, no capital tax, right now we have no provincial fuel tax, we have the most affordable energy costs and the lowest cost of living generally."

Sigurdson also spoke at the event, assuring prospective newcomers that there's no shortage of opportunity.

"I've got to be honest with you, we have become victims of our own success. We now face a big issue: we have more jobs than we have qualified people to fill them. In fact, industry leaders tell us that there are over 100,000 job openings right now in our province. Whether you're looking for a job in tech, innovation, agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing and logistics, hospitality, skill trades, or any other industry, Alberta businesses want to hire you."

He relayed the success he and his family have seen as Albertans.

"I started out in the energy sector, then moved onto skilled trades, which led me to becoming a project manager and onto becoming a business owner. Every year of my life, Alberta has provided me and my family with endless opportunities to grow and advance in our careers. This story is not just unique to me. My wife and I are extremely proud parents of three boys, of which our oldest has just turned 24-years-old, has been working since graduating post-secondary, and in just two short years since graduation has just purchased his first home. The Alberta advantage has given my family and me opportunities to truly live a good life."

Phase 2 of the campaign includes billboard and newspaper ads in Vancouver, as well as a month-long takeover of Toronto's Bloor and Yonge TTC station.

The campaign's website was launched just a few weeks ago.
