Despite the cool and soggy conditions, some great and young football players took to the HTA football field last night for their Friday Night Lights exhibition game.

These young players play at the Adam level in the Greater Okotoks Football Association. While, it wasn't the nicest night, these kids showed off their skills and played a great game.

President Cam Burbank, says they are looking forward to another strong year for the club. They are off to a good start this year, the Pee Wee group already won their first game and their Bantam level is looking for another successful year as well, they made it to the city championships and are hoping to go even further this year!

They have some exciting new objectives set for this year. The first one is they are working with some partners to create a turf field that they call the Home of the Eagles, as their program grows they need more space, and a permanent location. Secondly, they want to create a flag football league that will focus on the non-tackle portion of football.

This football association is a great addition to the Okotoks community and is giving kids a great opportunity to experience the sport!

Best of luck to all the Eagles players this season! Go Eagles Go!
