He's in tough to make the top eight, but High River's Jason Glass is sure giving it a heck of a try.

A day after taking out a barrel, Glass, the 2013 Stampede Champion started the comeback Sunday night setting a new track record at the Stampede's Rangeland Derby as he claimed the top time of the night at 1:09-and-38.

He's still got some work to do though as he's 21st in the aggregate.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland was 27th on the night, with High River's Jordie Fike right behind in 28th after taking two seconds in penalties for an outrider leaving the pattern and a late outrider.

Sutherland sit's 14th in the aggregate, with Fike in 19th spot.

The top four wagons after three nights of racing are Colt Cosgrave, Obrey Motowylo, Kurt Bensmiller and Mike Vigen.

The top eight in the aggregate after Friday race off in heats eight and nine on Saturday, with the wagons with the top four times over those heats moving on to Sunday's $100,000 dash for cash final.
