The Dawgs were not able to close out their 6-game stretch with a win Sunday afternoon at Seaman stadium losing 6-4 to the Sylvan Lake Gulls.

The Dawgs had a late push in the bottom of the 7th driving home 3 runs on two throwing errors by the Gulls.

The Dawgs move to 7-2 on the season with the loss but are sitting first place in the WCBL.

The Dawgs offense was at a premium Sunday afternoon, Elijah Hammill (University of Utah, UT) smacked a double in the 2nd inning scoring the first run of the game for the Dawgs. Nolan King (Okanagan College) would add two runs in the bottom of the 7th to cut the lead in half.

Noah Geekie (Emporia St, KS) went 3 strong innings today only surrendering 2 hits and striking out 5 Gulls. The Bullpen came in the 4th inning and they gave up 12 hits and struck out 6 batters while keeping the game to within 2 runs.

The Dawgs have a few days off until they travel to Sylvan Lake on Wednesday June 7th to take on the Gulls at 7:05pm.

The Dawgs will move on to Fort McMurray on Thursday June 8th to start a four-game set against the Giants. Opening pitch set for 7:05pm.
