The Okotoks Oilers undefeated pre-season came to end Sunday night.

The Oilers went into Brooks and were handed a 6-1 loss.

Captain Jordie Lawson says there weren't a lot of surprises from the Bandits.

"They're pretty fast, pretty skilled, like they always are, I don't know, it was a good test for us, that's the team that won the championship last year so it was a good measure and we know we've got to get better," Lawson says. "I thought we were a pretty fast team, but coming out of that game I see that we've got to get a lot faster because they're pretty fast and that's the team that we're gonna have to beat if we want to win the championship."

Okotoks finishes the exhibition at 3-and-1.

They'll open the regular season Friday Sept 16, on the road against those same Brooks Bandits at 7 o'clock.
