The Okotoks Bisons take on the Red Deer Vipers for the first time this season on Friday night.

The Bisons have only won one of their three regular season games and will be heading into tonight looking to tie it up.

Assistant Captain Taylor McNeill says that to get that second win they need to continue to play like they did last Friday when they defeated the High River Flyers.

"We played more as a team, and buried our chances and had some troubles scoring but defensively we played a lot better in our end."

With McNeill and Jaret Bordt being the only two returning defenseman to the team he hopes that his experience can help with their defensive play.

"I am usually a stay at home defenseman, and take care of my end first by getting that first pass out of the zone."

The Vipers head into the game with a 1-3 season to date and will also be looking for a win. McNeil says that because of that the team needs to stay focused, stay smart, and protect their zone.

"We need to play physical, our end should be our end they can't push us around, so we need to get pucks out and get pucks deep."

Puck drop is 8:00 pm at the Murray Arena.

While the High River Flyers and Blackfalds Wranglers will face off Friday night as well.

With the Flyers only having one win so far this season they will be looking to put another one on the charts.

Puck drop for that game is 8:15 pm at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

Finally, the Strathmore Wheatland Kings make their way North to take on the Stettler Lightning.
