At approximately 7 p.m. on March 25, Piikani Nation, Pincher Creek, and Fort Macleod RCMP received a call about a serious collision on Highway 3, near Brocket.

Once the officers arrived, they determined that a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck had collided.

A 47-year-old female resident of Red Deer was the driver of the passenger vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the semi-truck only received minor injuries.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene and their investigation is currently underway.

The RCMP send their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
