The 2024 Okotoks Community Clean Up & Tree Planting is coming up fast.

Each year, volunteers gather to clean up their favourite pathways and spaces in town.

This year’s event is being held on May 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and there are a few options to consider.

Those who register in advance at the recreation centre can pick up supplies ahead of time and skip the line.

You can also register ahead of time if you’re planning on cleaning up on a different day that same weekend.

The deadline to pre-register is May 5.

Volunteers can also register on the day at Sheep River Park.

The event will wrap with a volunteer BBQ back at the park from 12-1 p.m.
