The federal NDP party is making it's presence known in the Crowfoot riding.

Ellen Parker is the candidate for the vast riding that houses the Town of Strathmore.

She says she feels pretty welcomed there.

The Crowfoot riding, which runs from Strathmore, north to Camrose and east to the Saskatchewan border, has long been known as a Conservative stronghold but Parker says she's hearing that people are disappointed with Prime Minister Stephen Harper's leadership.

Parker is up against Conservative incumbent, Kevin Sorenson and Independent Conservative John Turner.

We cast our votes May 2nd.
